Chris at Loch Park

Glenafton are delighted to announce the signing of 25 year old defender Chris Malone from Kilbirnie Ladeside on a 2 year deal.

“Bugsy” played for Livingston U19s before making his debut for the first team in March 2009 and was part of the side that went on to win the 3rd Division title the following season. He moved to Airdrie United in November 2011 for a short spell before joining the Junior ranks with Kilbirnie, where he was later appointed club captain.

In November 2013, he was called up to the Scotland Junior Cup squad and made his debut against Ireland in the Quadrangular tournament at Limerick.

Chris has impressed in recent games against the Glens and indeed featured up front against them in the 3-2 home defeat back in February,   in what was Craig McEwan’s first game as the New Cumnock’s side manager.
