A minute’s silence was observed before kick-off in memory of Glenafton supporter Sam Stevenson who passed away recently. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.
Glenafton made one change from the eleven that started against Johnstone Burgh last Saturday with Sam McKee making way for former Glens player Leon Murphy on loan from Johnstone Burgh.
In the Renfrew dug-out was former Glenafton player Ryan Borris now a long serving member of the Renfrew coaching staff and at the end of March he stepped into the role of club manager.
Renfrew took the lead in controversial fashion when Aiden Malcolm was flagged for offside only for the linesman to change his mind allowing Malcolm to continue and cut the ball across the six-yard line for Chris Mahon to stroke home.

The visitors doubled their lead on 54 minutes with Aiden Malcolm putting the finishing touches to a flowing move and the made it 3-0 from the penalty spot.
Glens mustered a late consolation after Shuggy Kerr stripped the ball from Jack Donohue before stroking it into the gaping net.
