Hurlford United 2 (2) | Morrison 2 |
Glenafton Athletic 1 (1) | Moffat |
Glens lined up with the same eleven that started against Auchinleck Talbot but ended 15 minutes later after the match was abandoned due to a water-logged pitch and so young keeper Aiden Glavin, on-loan from Kilmarnock, made his formal debut at the second attempt. In the Hurlford line-up was former Glens midfielder Paul ‘Taz’ McKenzie while on their bench was Calvin Kemp who left the Glens earlier in the week.
Glens were forced to make an early change on 8 minutes when Leon Murphy took a bad knock and had to leave the pitch after some delay, to be replaced by Dylan O’Kane. On 16 minutes Lewis Morrison opened the scoring for Hurlford. Soon after a super save from Glavin prevented Michael Mullen side from doubling the home side’s lead. However Morrison bagged his brace two minutes into added time with a shot that went in off the post.
Two minutes later Michael Moffat pulled one back for the Glens lashing the ball into the net before the break.

Glens did most of the pressing in the second half but Hurlford stood firm to hold on to their lead. The visitors were reduced to 10 men on 90 minutes after Paul Paton saw red for dissent. Three minutes later ‘Ford were down to 10 after Ross Love denied Moffat from a clear goal scoring opportunity – after which Alex McWaters free-kick crashed off the bar.
