Glenafton made two changes to the eleven that started against Kilwinning Rangers mid-week. Aiden Glavin, on-loan keeper from Kilmarnock made his debut, taking the place of the injured David Markey while up front Sam McKee replaced Hugh Kerr. In the Auchinleck line-up were former Glenafton midfielders Ally Park and Michael Wardrope.

The rain had been falling for an hour before kick-off and there were a number of puddles on the park before kick-off. After 8 minutes of play in very difficult conditions the referee stopped play to speak to managers Ryan Stevenson and Tommy Sloan and after short discussion re-started the game. However, on 15 minutes the referee decided to abandon the match.
