SWEET AFTON FLOOR MEADOW

Glens hosted an Irvine Meadow side that had won their last 5 league games and more notably after taking only one point from their first seven games now currently sit 2nd in the table with 13 victories under their belt.  In dreadful conditions both sides served up an entertaining game and it was the home side that opened the scoring in the first minute through Joe Andrew (left). The visitors drew level before the break when Roddy Paterson headed home a corner-kick.

Paterson moved Meadow ahead with another fine header this time sourced from a well flighted free kick. The New Cumnock side fashioned an equaliser on 80 minutes with a fine finish from  Mick McCann. Three minutes later Dale Moore concluded a goal mouth scramble to force a later winner for the Glens to secure the three points and leap-frog the Meadow to 2nd place in the league.
