GLENS KNOCK THREE TIMES

Glens travelled to Townhead to face a Cumnock side under new management after the departure of boss Peter Leonard following a string of poor results including a 7-1 loss at home to Largs Thistle last Saturday. Taking over the hot seat as player/manager is local lad Paul Burns supported by Stephen McKenna as player/coach , Scott McCulloch coach and the legendary former keeper  Bill Bentley.

The Glens made an early breakthrough after Cammy Marlow (bottom left) picked up from where he left off last week after netting on 5 minutes. It proved to be the only goal of the half as the visitors continued to dominate.

Chances kept coming the New Cumnock side’s way and Joe Andrew (below middle) doubled their lead on the hour mark. Mick McCann (below right) added a third five minutes later as Glens completed the league double over their neighbours to climb to third place in the table with half their league matches now completed.
