Glenafton extended their unbeaten run to 4 games by ending Auchinleck’s unbeaten run of 11 games with a 1-0 victory at Beechwood Park. Mick McCann came close to opening the scoring on 7 minutes only for his shot to slip inches wide of target.  On 12 minutes the visitors took  the lead with what proved to be the decisive goal. Chris Dallas dispossessed Craig McCracken before heading for goal only for he defender to bring him down at the edge of the box. Up stepped Kyle McAusland to repeat the feat at Cumbernauld and superbly curl a free-kick home, this time via the underside of the crossbar. Glens then lost Ryan McChesney through injury with Findlay Frye taking his place and the defence reshuffled and soon after Alan Cairns received two yellow cards in quick succession. Down to 10 men for an hour the visitors put in a great shift to secure a well deserved three points.
