A week after the two sides had met in the opening game of the  West Region Sectional League Cup at Loch Park they met again, this time at Blair Park, in the opening game of the West Region Premiership campaign. The visitors took the lead midway through the first half with a goal from Cammy Marlow. Striker Chris Dallas doubled Glenafton’s advantage 10 minutes later only for Hurlford to halve the deficit through former Glens striker Ross Robertson on 40 minutes.   HT Hurlford 1 Glens 2

Robertson went down in the box  on 65 minutes earn the home side a hotly disputed penalty kick which was converted Liam Caddis. It was Caddis that struck what proved to be the winner in the dying minutes,
