Glenafton opened the scoring on 19 minutes. Good work down the left flank ended with Darren McGill winning a corner-kick which although was partially cleared the ball was played back into the box to be headed home for Chris Dallas (left).  A minute before the break the home side drew level through a fine finish from Keir Samson.

Cumnock started the second half in determined fashion and on 48 minutes Jamie Ballantyne found the net from the back post. Five minutes later Ryan McChesney impeded Paul Burns in the box and the Cumnock midfielder dusted himself down to slot home the spot kick and completed Cumnock’s comeback.
