Welcome Chris
Glenafton Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of 28 year old striker Chris Dallas from Arthurlie. Chris kicked off his Junior career at East Kilbride Thistle in Season 2011/12 and played in both games against the Glens that season as the New Cumnock side won the Super League 1st Division title to return to the Premier Division.
Chris also stepped up to the Premier after joining Arthurlie but was snapped up 6 months later by Albion Rovers. The highlight of his time at Cliftonhill was the fantastic Scottish Cup run in 2013/14 and beating Premier Division side Motherwell to set up a Quarter-Final against Rangers at Ibrox. The the visitors took an early shock-lead only for the home side to equalise late on and go on to win the replay 2-0 at New Douglas Park.
Chris returned to Arthurlie for a 6 month loan spell in September 2014 a month before Craig McEwan took over as manager at the Barrhead club. At the end of the loan spell, in early January, Southy signed up Chris on an 18 month deal at Dunterlie only to take up the post of Glenafton manager soon after.
Chris has signed a 2 year deal and we would like to welcome him to Loch Park.
