Glenafton Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of 27 year old midfielder David Gray. He kicked off his career at Dundee United before moving to Kilmarnock in January 2007 and then on to Kilbirnie Ladeside the following season, earning a West of Scotland Cup winners medal after defeating Pollok 5-1 in the final.
Following a spell at Dumbarton David moved to the USA to play for Kitsap Pumas out of Washington State for two seasons , returning to Scotland during their close-season for spells at Renfrew and Airdrie United. He settled back in Scotland with another spell at Dumbarton before joining Montrose in 2012/13 where he hit the headlines with a wonder 89th minute strike at Ibrox to earn the Gable Endies a draw against the 3rd Division leaders Rangers. After two seasons at Links Park he had a season with Clyde before joining Lowland League side BSC Glasgow, along with former Glens striker Aaron Connolly.
David has signed an 18 month contract and we would like to welcome him to Loch Park.
