Everyone at Glenafton would like wish Jamie McKernon all the best as he moves move on to a new club at the end of the season. He is heading back to the seniors and joining Queen’s Park .

The midfielder joined the Glens under Tommy Bryce two seasons ago and played a huge part in the run to the Scottish Junior Cup final last season and in the club winning the Ardagh Glass Sectional League Cup this season.

Jambo quickly established himself as a fans’ favourite with his tenacious style of play, his eye for and execution of the inch perfect pass and a thunderbolt of a shot. He made 70 appearances for Glenafton and he has bagged 9 goals including that memorable one against Musselburgh in last season’s Scottish Junior Cup final. Jamie’s performance in this season’s Ardagh Sectional Cup Final win over Auchinleck Talbot where he ‘bossed’ the midfield, a performance that earned him ‘Man-of-the-Match’ epitomised his time with Glenafton. Thank you Jamie and good luck at your new club.
