Glenafton Athletic are delighted to announce the signing of 18 year old midfielder Darren McGill from Ayr United on loan  until the end of the season. Cumnock-lad Darren joined Ayr United’s youth academy from Rangers youth set up in January 2012 and made four first team appearances for the Honest Men. He was loaned out to Cumnock Juniors at the start of this season and featured against the Glens in the goal-less Ardagh Cup section match at Townhead.

Darren has not played for Cumnock in any of their Scottish Junior Cup ties and is therefore available for selection for  this Saturday’s 5th round match at home to Shotts Bon Accord.
