Stephen Hill kept his cool to slot home the opener for Bonnyton after 3 minutes. The Kilmarnock side doubled their lead on the quarter hour mark through a glancing header from Sam McCloskey. Glenafton fought hard to get back in the game but Bonnyton continued to dominate and on 37 minutes Hill bagged his brace after some great skill took him into the box before stroking the ball beyond the reach of keeper Ryan Dunsmuir.

Great credit to the New Cumnock side who battled bravely to salvage something from the game. Midway through the half the impressive McCloskey powered into the box and drilled home his second from an acute angle. On 90 minutes , never-say-die Danny Naismith almost conjured up a consolation for Glenafton only for keeper Dylan Caddis to tip his 25 yard free-kick over the bar.
