Cashy opens his account

New signing Ian Cashmore opened his account for Glenafton with a goal from the penalty spot in the 4-3 win at league leaders Ardrossan Winton Rovers on Saturday. He turned out for the Glens the week before in the 2-2 home draw with Thorniewood . Cashy also came off the bench for his previous club Girvan in their recent Ardagh Glass Sectional League Cup quarter-final triumph over the Glens at Loch Park.

Ian began his Junior career with Irvine Vics (2001/02) and moved from there to Troon for a season before joining the Buffs for a coupe of years. He then stepped up to the seniors with Ayr United (2005/06) and after a season at Somerset joined Stirling Albion and from there to Stranraer. Ian returned to juniors with a move to Auchinleck Talbot (2008/09) but before the season end made the short trip to Townhead to sign for Cumnock Juniors where he remained until joining Girvan in February, 2011.
