Glenafton made three changes to the eleven that started against Rutherglen Glencairn. Sam Gibson (trialist) took the place of suspended keeper Marc Fisher while Craig McCracken and Craig Truesdale made way for Ollie Rowe and Rocco Devenny.
In the Darvel line-up were former Glenafton players Gary Fraser and Callum McFadyen
Glenafton took the lead on 27 minutes through a nice finish from Callum Wilson as he side foots in off the bar after a fine cross from Kieran MacDonald. It proved to be the only goal in the first.

The second half produced a four goal frenzy in seven minutes –
- On 61minutes Darvel’s skipper Ross Barbour, brother of former Glens player Graeme, fired home a spot kick to draw the sides level at 1-1.
- On 64 minutes the home side took the lead through Jordan Bow; 2-1 Darvel
- On 67 minutes Michael Mullen draws the sides level from a well taken free-kick
- On 68 minutes Declan McDonald scores what proved to be the winning goal; 3-2 Darvel.
