Troon opened the scoring on 11 minutes after Ben Black picked up a through ball before breaking into the box slot it past advancing keeper Scott Johnson from 15yards.

The hosts came close to doubling their lead when namesake Josh Black’s shot from 25 yyards crahed off the bar.

The Glens enjoyed a decent spell and looked to have drawn level after Craig Pettigrew’s diagonal ball from deep in the left was nodded home by Sean McIlroy from the edge of the six-yard box, only for the striker to be flagged offside.

Luck deserted the visitors again on the stroke of half-time. After clearing a corner-kick the  ball was recovered by Ray Montgomerie who curled a cross back into the busy box where Tommy Maitland’s header cannoned off Ryan McChesney’s head sending the ball high into the air and is it dropped, bounced off the top of the bar and fell for Ben Black to poke home from close range.

The Portland Parkers added a third goal on 54 minutes after a long forward pass released Sam Jamieson with a free run into the right hand side box drawing Johnson from his line and although the keeper got a foot to the low angled shot the ball still found its way to the back of the net.

Jamieson struck again on 67 minutes with the pick of the goals. Deep in his own half surrounded by Glens players he slipped the ball to Ben Black who quickly completed the one-two by whipped the ball upfield for Jamieson to get another free run into the box and this time choosing to chip the ball over the head of the goalie.
