A hard working Glens side gained revenge for their defeat over Beith at Bellsdale in the first league match of the season.

Beith started reasonably well against a strong wind but fell behind on 12 minutes conceding a goal from corner kick.  Jamie McKernon’s delivery into the box fell perfectly for Kyle McAusland  (left) to fire home from eight yards. Both keepers had little to do as the game became scrappy and further goal scoring chances proved scarce.  Half-hearted penalty appeals from both sides were waved away and Glens were strong enough to prevent Beith converting a couple of late half chances
