Darren McGill

Lugar took the lead in 10 minutes after Darren Curtis finished off a good move with his low drive at the back post beating keeper Scott Watson. Try as they might the Glens could not conjure up an equaliser and went in 1-0 down at half-time. Darren McGill replaced Cammy Marlow at the interval and on 52 minutes he drew the sides level after picking a pass from Craig Potter to blast the ball home from 20 yards. Six minutes later McGill turned provider and slipped the ball to Mick McCann to score from 8 yards.

McCann then got on the end of a Jamie McKernon cross on 63 minutes to make it 3-1 with a header from inside the six yard box. Three minutes later McGill played a fine one-two with McCann before guiding the ball beyond the reach of the keeper and into the net.

On 79 minutes McCann completed his hat-trick from close range and made way for Chris Dallas, while David Gray replaced Craig Potter. With 3 minutes to go Glens completed the scoring when John Carter’s cut-back from inside the box was hammered home be Jamie McKernon.
