Glenafton made several changes to the starting eleven that defeated Newmachar in the Scottish Junior Cup with Jamie Hay, John Adam , Craig McGuffie and John Paul Boyle making way for Ally Park, Alan Cairns, Chris Malone and Joe Andrew .

The home side raced to an early two goal lead after Darren Christie and Andy Reid found the net in the opening ten minutes. Ross Fisher added a third after the break before Mick McCann pulled one back for the visitors.
