Glenafton are saddened to announce that midfielder Cameron Marlow will be leaving the club. Cammy be returning to live with his family in Los Angeles. It was hoped that the club and supporters could have shown their appreciation at today’s game against Troon, but unfortunately it has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
He was signed by Tommy Bryce at the beginning of last season and became an instant favourite with the Glens support when he hammered an unstoppable volley at Beechwood. In 36 appearances that season he found the net no fewer than 15 times with 5 in the memorable run in the Scottish Junior Cup including vital goals in each of the Semi-final legs against Camelon.
This season Cammy has bagged another 11 goals from 25 appearances including the opener in the Ardagh Cup Final victory over Auchinleck Talbot at Portland Park.
Everyone at Glenafton would like to thank Cammy for his time at the club and his fatnatatic contribution oand wish him every success in the future. Hopefully we will see him back at Loch Park some day.
