New loan-signing Michael Wardrope made his debut for the Glens and partnered Aaron Connolly up front. In what proved to be a pulsating encounter Connolly earned a straight red card to reduce the visitors to 10 men, while the home side ended the game with one fewer.

Former Glenafton U19 goalkeeper Ryan Dunsmuir, who moved to the Rovers in the summer, made a string of super saves and only a goal from substitute Daniel Orsi separated the sides at the end of eventful 90 minutes.
