Scottish Youth Cup U19s Semi-final
Sunday 21st April, Newlandsfield Park, Glasgow
ST. CADOC’S 0 (0)
GLENAFTON ATHLETIC 1 (0)
Glenafton won through to the Scottish Cup U19s Final with a hard fought victory over St. Cadoc’s . The East Renfrewshire side created the best of the chances in the first half but found Glens’ keeper Ryan Dunsmuir in splendid form, keeping the scoreline blank at the break with a number of fine saves.
Glens started the second in a much more determined fashion and the St. Cadoc goal survived some early pressure. On 58 minutes the team from New Cumnock broke the deadlock with a stunning strike from 22 yards by Jordan Graham giving the keeper no chance. St. Cadoc’s rallied well but again were defied by Dunsmuir, time and again.
Well done to both sides for serving up an entertaining and competitive cup semi-final. Our commiserations to St. Cadoc’s after such a fine display and congratulations to Glenafton on reaching the Scottish Youth U19s Cup Final.
