New committee members
I would like to officially welcome the following new committee members to our club.
Local lad George Weir who has played & coached football for over 30 years and has been involved at Glenafton youth & Ayr United Academy. He has now taken on the role of Head of Youth Development. George will combine this with a scouting role for the first team and will be involved in bringing youth players to our academy.
Another local lad Davie Kerr who has brought the present U/19s team right through from a seven-a-side team will continue his post at the 19s. He will now also have a role on the committee in dealing with grant funding and future projects at the club and will be assisted by his son Steven who is a trainee Accountant.
I thank them all on behalf of our committee and look forward to working with them
