Glenafton made two changes to the side that started against Shotts on Saturday with Ryan McCubbin and Ross Lindsay making way for Callum Wilson and Chris Erskine.
In the Hurlford line up were former Glenafton players Paul McKenzie, Ross Fisher and recent signing Dean Hawkshaw while Mick McCann was on the bench.
The visitors took the lead through Lewis Morrison on 17 minutes and the striker added a second two minutes later from the penalty spot.
Glenafton scored a late added-time consolation from former Hurlford player Michael Mullen.
