Glenafton made two changes to the eleven that started against Dalry Thistle last Saturday with Zak Ross and Gary Fraser making way for Lyall Holding and Charlie Maxwell.

In the Hurlford line-up were former Glens players Paul McKenzie and Davie Wilson while of course on the dug-out was another former Glens player John Dempster now assistant manager to Darren Henderson, a former Glens manager.

In a game of few chances, it was Glens that opened the scoring on 75 minutes when Scott McLean floated a free kick into the goal mouth and former ‘Ford player Liam Caddis to power a header into the net beyond the reach of Davie Wilson and score his first goal for the club

However, the visitors struck back two minutes later after Wilson launched a free-kick from just outside his box upfield to the outskirts of the left corner of the Glens box where Lewis Morrison trapped the ball and held off a defender before turning and drilling a low shot from 20 yards that flew in at the near post.

The game finished all square and Glens secured the first home point of the season
